Unfortunately, I don't have a before-shot for this reconstruction, but it was basically just a plain red sweater with a very ugly too-high v-neck. So I re-cut a deeper round neck, and used some left-over fabric to created a "blouse" which looks like it is underneath. It was very fiddly and I made a lot of mistakes because I have never tried to sew a blouse, but it turned out okay...

In this picture, I'm wearing the top with a skirt I made out of the same fabric. I would never really wear this!! Haha. It's too... co-ordinated! Grin

I also created a set of Alice Bands. The gold and black headbands were made by winding ribbon around plain headbands and sewing on a bow. The pink one is just a ribbon which fastens with elastic. The purple one was made by glueing segments of a broken PS2 CD onto a headband. (I got this idea of another poster, who was inspired by the Miu Miu mirrored headband, although I can't remember who it was! I'm sorry!!)

Thanks for reading! <3

Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! It is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken.

I love the outfit!! Very adorable!! I would totally wear that, but then again, I can be too color co-ordinated.

I love those Alicia Bands, I'm inspired now. I like the top as well, and I don't think that the outfit looks too awfully matchy-matchy, it just sort of looks as if you're wearing a sweater over a dress. It's all really lovely, though.
