I am in love with all my little knitted bowls. It was interesting to see which yarns felted nicely for this project (Noro Kureyon didn't do so well... I was surprised, but was not suprised to see the Lamb's Pride, Cascade 220  and Araucania all do pretty well). I will post pics after they're done drying. I think one will make a good business card holder for my desk, and a couple are destined to be gifts.

Should be okay to photograph tonight -- even if they're damp, as long as they're holding their shape.

I used a Plymouth Yarns pattern, P537. The yarns that worked best were the Lamb's Pride, Cascade 200 & Aracaunia. The Noro Koigu was very pretty, but didn't felt well.

You shouldn't need the pattern -- I have a couple of links that I'll include that pretty much walk you through it.

I LOVE the ones in A Second Treasury of Magical Knitting.  And they're all based on the moebius! and felted!
I'm making a very beginner basket right now.  I hope to felt it tonight.. my first felting project!

And please show your photos.  I'd like to see what the araucania looks like felted, because I have some with no purpose in my stash.

I gave the pattern # a post or two up. I also found a couple of places where people either offered patterns for different bowls or "winged it." In the last couple, they refer to a magazine article that gave directions.

ijsblokje: I didn't use a lot of the Araucania in this project, but I did felt a bag and LOVED it. I'm ordering 10 more skeins to do a big bag with! I have pic here if you want to see: http://pics.livejournal.com/crazycatladymel/pic/0000sg39/g8

oh yeah, I like the way the araucania stuff turned out.
I bought 4 skeins for glampyre's minisweater, but that didn't turn out so well, so who knows what I'll make the stuff into?

They are beautiful. Thanks for sharing these with us. I want to order some yarn just to make these. I especially like the bright yellowy red one!

Thanks! The red/yellow/orange is my favorite. It felted the nicest.

What I need to find is someone who has a bunch of odd balls of Lamb's Pride so I can mix up the colors w/o having to buy full skeins.
