Hey everyone,

I'm kinda new here but not to swapping in general (just completed first swap here)

Anyway in other scrapbooking swap boards they ALWAYS have an ongoing wish list swap.
This is very much like the unconditional swap except

The first person posts a wish list of as many possible things as they could think of that they would want (with minimum three)
IE:
I would like:
some kind of jewelry
a knit scarf
a collage book
a purse
etc.

THE NEXT PERSON picks one of their things to make and send to them and then that person posts their list

Then someone picks something on their list to send and then posts their own list and so on and so on on

so basically you have to agree to fulfill a wish before you get your wish fulfilled.
And whoever feels like being the next person just has to claim the previous crafter first in the thread...and it goes on forever like that.

What do you guys think?
Do you understand this?  It's actually pretty easy to do.

I'm sure there are a few.

I was referring to www.scrapbook.com Smiley

If a few more people like it and you know...once my feedback is updated...I will start it. Smiley

Actually this is an ongoing swap.  It doesn't end until I say "ok I'm eding this and make something for the last person
and people can sign up as often as they want the only requirement is they make something for the person who posts right before them.
then they can pick and choose what they want to make and the more they make the more they get, etc.

Whereas that swap was actual swapping between paired up people.

What happens if you can't make something for the person who posted before you? Or if they are outside the us and you only want to swap with someone in the us? These are the main problems I have when organizing swaps. With the wish swap it was hard to match up according to skils and then finding someone who could make what they wanted AND was willing to ship outside the us. Crafty_dame does her swaps in a different way which is if you're not willing to ship outside the us you can't participate. That would make it easier for you. It sounds like a great idea. I just had a few questions about how it would run.

Well then you dont pick them.

See its not preassigned.
You just see on someones list
"I would like a long pink scarf"
and you say to yourself
"gee I could make a long pink scarf"
so you pick to go next

then someone else picks you

then someone pics them

and there is a limit (say 3 weeks) that you have to send.

The person says "I am in the us/or whatever country"
in their post then the person sending to them would know - hey this person is in the us or not.

It's hard to imagine until it gets going, I will try to find an example from a different board.

Here is one example of a Wish Rak ongoing swap
http://www.scrapbook.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/1216359/page//view//sb/5/o/all/fpart/1/vc/1

and then whenever I get sick of running it - I would end it by granting the wish of the first person to grant my first wish.

As you can see from there many people grant many different wishe (they do three cause scrapsupplies are small).

Hopefully that helps
