we used softclaw on him. it's rare that he's docile enough to let us put them on. i think he needs them on his back claws more than the front.

now I wish I hadn't spent all that money(20 bucks!) on a kitten mitten. I could have just made one. maby I'll make one out of some really soft material.

just wanted to mention.

its not that the cat wants to destroy your couch, its that their claws will hurt them if they don't scratch SOMETHING. teaching a young cat where to scratch is a good idea (posts and the like), because you cannot train them to not scratch things.

WOW! That is such a great idea! My kitten is about 10-11 weeks old and is a bitter! My hands are horribly scratched up and this would help so much! Grin

I just got my first kitten ever  (she kinda wandered into our backyard) and after a few days of calming down, and lots of food she is very hyper and thinks my hands are made of leather. My boyfriend who has like 5 cats (well, 4 of them are his moms/step dads) and says that you can train them to be gentle but I am having a hard time doing this... anyone have some tips?

Excellent idea!  Smiley

I need to make a cat hat. My cat is preowned and has some temper issues, and yesterday she spazzed out and bit me really hard on the top of my head.  Tongue
