Wow, I really should finish making this at some point. It's been over two years and it's still in my In Progress drawer. . .

YAY Geisha needlework! Some of the patterns you guys are using are gorgeous Cheesy I saw this thread last week and decided I oughtta do some cool embroidery for myself now that giftmas is over (and my birthday is coming, I deserve a present!).

I'm making a triptych of 3 geisha's from dafont's "geisha" font (letters k, g and e): the woman bathing beneath hibiscus flowers, the woman w/ a fan surrounded by maple leaves, and the woman sitting under pine trees at a wooden bus shelter (HAHA that's what it looks like to me, anyways Tongue). I've already started on the bathing woman Cheesy

I think I will hang it in the bathroom.

Wow, I posted that in February??? I finally finished her (letter K), though she's not yet framed and won't be for a while longer. I'll post a pic as soon as I iron her Cheesy

Here she is!

I signed her "A-na/Wood/Rat," which is my name in Japanese syllabic and the year I was born (wood-rat was 1984).
