I have a friend in the Netherlands who I frequently send brownie mix, candy, etc. and I have never experienced any trouble with customs. I have heard of others who had difficulties though.

Anyone else have any input?

Anyhow, for anyone I don’t get partnered with, I would be more than interested in doing one-on-one swaps. And don’t be embarrassed about asking for anything or if you want something expensive. To the UK it usually goes through customs fine! So I think you would  be okay

I signed up too.  I never had trouble sending food, but I didn't usually list that on the form that I had to fill out...   hope no customs agents read this forum...

Never had trouble sending food either. I always try to fill out the form with "gift" or "present" and don't specify too much what's in the package, so the custom won't put on extra tax. Sneaky!
