That is one nifty pin cushion!! Love it SmileySmiley

My youngest daughter learned how to sew making pin cushions and let me tell ya some of them were "quirky" but she has a handle on it now and they are quite wonderful.  I read somewhere that sand and pencil shavings (from a pencil sharpener)  and/or whood shavings are good to put in pincushions.  Supposedly it helps keep the pins/needles sharp. She uses a combo of those things with a layer of fiberfill.  Sand, fiberfill and then mostly shavings and some sand for top layer.

That is the cutest pin cushion I've ever seen.  I use to have a puppy dog pin cushion.  I though it was cute but then it started to fall apart and I felt bad for it.  I killed it.  Sad  Anyways,  I'll have to make a nifty new pin cushion.  Tongue

That's totally awesome! Someone gave me a mouse pincushion and I felt exactly the same way about it. Now I'm just using one of those tomato pincushions, I have to get around to making myself something cooler.

That is so cute Grin I want to make one or several!! I just have a couple of questions-
Did you use embroidery floss? and What kind of filling did you use? I've heard of people using all kinds of different stuff so I was just curious as to what kind you thought worked best. Smiley
