That pin cushion so adorable! I wish I could blanket stitch that nicely!

As far as guilt free pin cushions, this is my favorite one I made. It isn't an original idea, I actually got it from Martha Stewart Magazine, November issue I think...

I like that is so portable. I use it as my on-the-go pin cushion.

Too many pin cushions could be a problem, unless you started giving them away...

Addicted to handbags, huh? I am addicted to fabric. My studio has piles and piles of fabric...

My boyfriend thinks I am nuts.

i'm trying to organize mine as we speak. its crazy nuts. i live in a bachelor apartment and the crafty/sewing is taking over. i have about 5  big tubs worth of fabric plus tons of other crafty stuff. i've gotta start making stuff to get rid of some of it. i think i have enough to last me till i'm old and wrinkled...hehe

i can't wait to move so i have a studio..i'm jealous

The advantages of a two bedroom apartment. I took over one bed room, and my boyfriend has the other. We are both artsy people, and we sleep in our livingroom so we have space to make stuff.

Sorry, I got sorta off the thread ouf cute pin cushions.

Back to the topic at hand...

What kind of thread did you use? It looks thick like embriodery floss...

that's a super cute pin cushion.
And I know what you're saying about too much fabric. I have about 10 huge tubs in the basement full, plus two bookshelves full, plus a couple of dressers full. I work at a fabric store and I have a fabric purchasing problem to say the least.

whoa! 10 tubs of fabric!!! makes me not feel as bad..hehe i work at a craft store so that doesn't help my addiction at all either.

oh and for the blanket stitch i used three strands of embroidery floss i usually do two for my other stuff. like the block i used for my avatar (or whatever its called) but i figured this needed to be held together more cause it was being stuffed.

i'm not sure what you are supposed to use but i just used leftover poly quilt batting. basically the same stuff you would use for stuffed animals except its flat.  might not be the right stuff but works for me.

thats funny. my boyf likes that i'm crafty, he thinks it's cute. which is a definite plus. only problem is i want to make him crafty stuff but have no idea what to make. i already made him a quilt that he loves but stuck on what else he might enjoy
My squeeze is the same way. I'm just happy that he doesn't mind walking through the aisles & piles that are in our apartment. He knows I am happy as a clam and I think that's what counts. I just whistle & hum and do what I have termed my "CRAFTY GOODNESS."
