Here is my first attempt at a crocheted toy, something I definitely want to do more of. I made this Totoro (he's the medium-sized one) for the Miyazaki swap. He's based on a Forest Friends animal pattern.

I know! I can't ever move out of this apartment because of the fabulous Chamber's stove with built-in grill - if you ever watch Rachel Ray, it's the same one, but hers is green.

Does somebody think they could provide any description how to make a Totoro like this? Or maybe a helpful link... My crocheting skills are very basic and I'm not familiar with english patterns at all (ok I'm not familiar with ANY patterns but I could figure out the Polish ones;)) ... I dont have any idea as to what shape the "product" should be and how to figure it all out...Still I would like to make one like this. help??!!!
Thanks in advance for any hints!
