Ron-Bother-Stick - crocheted weapon of choice!

After discovering the Potter Pals through a thread here, I had to try my hand at making a "Bother Stick" of Ron Weasley to hit my dear so-SO with (who happens to also be named Ron - it was just too perfect and meant to be!) - I am not totally happy with how it turned out, it was a learning experience as I went and I am debating trying a second one with significant "refinement" to my pattern. Anyhow, though not as pretty or accurate as I would like, it still works well *snicker*

I actually inserted a dowel before closing the "arm" end of the bother stick. The dowel runs from the top of his reinforced head down to about 4 inches sticking out of the bottom to use as a handhold -
