I made a pretty pink hat and took it to school. Twelve hundred million people drooled over it; I ended up giving it to a boy that begged me to let him wear it for the class period.

Therefore, crocheting = hats = people that want to have your babies.

And I set up a deal that if anyone at school wants me to crochet or knit him or her a non-birthday somesuch (like a scarf or hat), I will do it free of charge so long as they provide the yarn and I get to keep the excess.

I LOVE this setup. Love it. They get the colours they want and I get scrap yarn. I suggest it to all.

Sounds like a good idea

Invention, my dear friends, is 93% perspiration, 6% electricity, 4% evaporation, and 2% butterscotch ripple.

My current craft project: crochet domokun doll.

Thats sweet. Good idea... coz really, if you don't know how to do that stuff, they might buy too much :-P lol jk... I've been wanting to sell crochet stuff however I can't do a lot of crocheting because I have weak wrists so...  Roll Eyes

Everybody likes pink. People who think otherwise are in denial.

That is so sweet! I am slightly evil when I tell people I'll crochet for them for the yarn, and tell them to buy two or three more skeins than I really need.
I love that a boy wanted your pink hat.

Haha, that's awesome.  Too bad we're not allowed to wear hats in school.   Sad

That's... sort of what I'm hoping! ^_^ Aw, mean Sammie. Mean, broke Sammie.

I love that a boy wanted your pink hat.

Not just one boy. Five boys in all tried it on throughout that day. >.<

We aren't either, and a boy at lunch put the hat on... then a teacher yelled from across the cafeteria to "TAKE THAT HAT OFF!!!" and everyone turned to see. Poor boy... there goes his reputation!

lol. that's so funny! I keep offering my sister's friends that i'll make them cute bags and such (they're 11 so anything interests them) if they buy me the yarn to do it. I never thought about keeping the extras. I just love crocheting but have way to many crocheted items (not to mention my mom is starting not to like how much money I'm spending on yarn Grin
