I've been rather fond of some of the stuff she makes out of basic items (Dresses made out of Zippers & pieces of dollar bills), so when I took a seam ripper to a pair of thrift store jeans (the zippered kind that can be removed to become shorts, without the bottom half) , removed the zipper, cutting up into 10 pieces & came up with this little patch.

That's very cool.  I've been wanting to work more with zippers; this is helping the ideas pour in Smiley

Do you know of any websites where I can see some of Cat Chow's work??  I tried searching around the web but didn't have any luck Undecided

Other than her own website (http://www.cat-chow.com/), Quimby's Bookstore (http://www.quimbys.com/) had sets of her button pins for $5, which I wanted but they were long sold out.

[inner mom] Woven, not weaved. [/inner mom]
Sorry... Tongue

I love the patch though! That would look great sewn onto a pair of jeans in place of one of the back pockets (or both, if you made two)

Sorry to nag..Tongue But thanks for changing it.

I do have a question...did you sew the patch at all the little zipper intersections, or did you just sew/glue on the outside edge?

I'd just did it at the edges, so there would be "gaps" in between each piece. the Pocket idea does sound good, though.

Very sweet. . .I feel like the patch could be cool gathered about the center of a big satiny bow or at the center of the bust on a sexy tank-
