Suzie penguin received mine too so I'm going to post pictures

I made this jordy style purse to be a book carrying/knitting bag - because she wanted something like that.
the fabric on the inside is mostly blue because its penguin fabric but it has a LITTLe green that coordinates with the polka dots.  Ok  so it clashes but suzie loves penguins and this is the only penguin fabric that had green WITHOUT christmas trees.
Anyway she likes it.
I closed it with a magnetic snap and I put a pocket for pencils and what not.

Here are ...pictures....
Outside - YAY POLKA DOTS!
Showing the inside:

Shows closure and pocket

Again, hope she likes it!

I do! I love it so much. It fits perfect for all my knitting stuff and the random magazine or book I tend to toss in. Yah! I don't get poked in the arm anymore with my knitting needles, none of my other bags had long enough straps. Thank you so much. (And thanks for the pens, one can never have too many, oh! And my best friend just bought me a really pretty purple polka dot notebook, so i'm all matchy-matchy!)

I totally don't care  A) if it clashes - because I don't think it does, and I love penguins. B) what all of my none penguin loving peers say, 'cause I'm taking it everywhere.

Squee! Super shiny, thanks again.

i dont know if its my place to ask or even if its in the 'rules'
but can i please get the tutorial for that clutch.
i adore it to bits and pieces.
its just too cute.
i love clutches and well this is by far the best one ive ever seen.
if it isnt too much to ask and if its not again the rules.
tutorial, please?

ps all the other bags are great.
tho im not so much a fan of green...lol.
only lime green. =)

Oh my goodness... someone wants a tut. to something I made? I really can't believe it. I would love to do that for you. Um, and I will, but it was kinda "I'm going to give her a clutch because it's 3 am and I can't figure out how to do anything else at this point."

I had a bigger one I was thinking about turning it a clutch too. I'm PM you when I post pics about it. Sometime in the upcoming two weeks.

Or wait, did you mean that other awesome green clutch that is on the first page? With all the different fabrics? Yeah, I would love to see a tut. of that one too!

eowynmn, i love the polka dots!

suzie penguin, that is beautiful fabric you used, was it easy to sew? I hate sewing satin-y stuff because I always bunch it up and fray it!

Im so excited, everything is awesome!  Cheesy

Yes, the fabric called out to me. I had to use it. It didn't bunch up too bad, but it did fray something awful. That was ok, I like being super ambitous my first time sewing more than a hem. (yeah, kids, that's sarcasm.)

StrangeGirl - you did cables! I like it. I haven't gotten that far in knitting yet. Did you find that pattern, or make it up yourself?

here's my clutch! Sorry! I had to use my scanner because apparently my camera doesn't particularly like working at 12:15 in the morning. It's much more vibrant IRL! The lining is a pale pink with tiny rosebuds printed all over and bead charms on each end! Sarah will post more pictures whenever she's able to!  Smiley

OH MY GOSH! this is so beautiful!!

BTW-yes the bag I made is out of felt...I like working with it cause it doesn't need a lining and I can do "rough" seams...they're on the outside of the bag you know? This swap prompted me to try this fabric and now I can't stop working with it...I've made pins, clutches, totes, wallets...all kinds of stuff...it's simply so fogiving and easy to use.
