As brokenpencil posted, I received my green purse! It has been the highlight of an otherwise stressful week. The camera batteries are charging right now, so I will post some 'action shots' when I have time! Thanks again, brokenpencil!

stripeysocks thank you for posting the pictures for me. I am so glad that you like your bag! YOu said you wanted something you could use everyday but I never thought it would be big enough for you to use for school! that's great! I am glad you will be able to use it a lot.
I forgot to mention the growing spiderman! I have never seen one of those before. My 21 yr old son thinks it's a hoot so I might hide it now and put it in his stocking! Thank you again

Alrighty, the market bag is a pattern from a WONDERFUL book called "The New Macrame" by Katie Dumont. I picked it up at Books-A-Million last month, never seen it anywhere else, but anyhoo it is THEEE best $15 I have ever spent. There are so many projects and they are all beautiful. Many use materials other than hemp that you would not think to use for macrame otherwise.

I checked my library and they have this book. I love that market bag!
A few questions though:
how difficult was this bag to make?
how long did it take?
You did a great job, but I've never tried macrame and have no idea how it works.
