all of us northern Az chicks can do a happy dance as we have Unravel coming to downtown Flagstaff in June! I'd like to start a stitch & bitch, with Unravel as our meeting place, once it opens for more details about the store visit

that sounds so fun! how far is flagstaff from glendale? pretty far, i'm thinking.

if you were, say, in the far north of glendale, maybe like i-17 and greenway, or even better, nearer to deer valley. you could quite easily make it to Unravel in a bit less than 2 hours. it is probably only 140 miles.  it would be worth if it you see a class on the website you like to travel up for a saturday. keep an eye on the page in june as we start to post our first class schedule!

Rather than start another "I"m moving to Arizona" thread, I will just hijack this one. I am moving to Flagstaff in July. We are driving there next weekend from Chicago to get my boyfriend's car out there so he can start work at NAU. I have never been there before. (I am freaking out)

Can someone please tell me whether
a. Unravel sells sock yarn
b. There will be scorpions in Flagstaff

Also, how is the job market in Flagstaff?

sock yarn is totally to be had in Flagstaff.
I have lived here for three years and have yet to see a scorpion
It is not as hot here as it is in the Valley
How you view the job market depends entirely on what it is you'd like to do.
Flag is really pretty, and if you'd like a crafty chick to pal around with, pm me!
