Okay, so I made one finally! Grin I think yours looks better though...  Undecided I only lined the bottom for support because I suck at linings, and covering the strips before weaving them DEFINATELY helps make the finished project look better (which I didn't do). Mine has bubbles to no end in between the woven strips.

Even though I'm too much of a perfectionist, I still really like it! AND when I tested its strength, it could EASILY hold 7.5 lbs. Which is way more than I'd ever carry in a purse that small.

Anyway, here it is!

I think that looks great! The sides of your bag are way neater than mine, and I really like your handles.  Smiley

thanks =) for the sides I just squished them together and clamped them with the gigantic paper clamp thingers to get a really good crease. and handles- gotta love that 40% off ( Grin ) coupon in the michael's ad... just $2 or $3 for those awesome handles!!

How big is your purse and how many times did you fold the paper magazine?

I have made a bag similar to this.  I dont have a sewing machine so i was not able to put a lining inside the purse.  I bought bamboo handle, but I am having problems attaching it.  Anyone have any ideas for me?! I could really use the advice! Thanks  Smiley

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is some really strong tape, but I don't know how much weight that would hold. Is there any way you could weave some of the tape (or ribbon: whatever you use to attach the handles) through some of the purse itself? That might stabilize it a bit.

Hi there i saw ur bags and thought they are awesome.
I already have a magazine purse and i love it.
I was wondering if, you would make me a costume man's wallet for me.
If you could i would pay you and  send u the material(magazines and such). if you could replay and let me know i would be very thankful.
Thank you in advanced  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
