Oh I know, it's waaaaay after halloween...but this was my favorite costume, maybe of all time: My mate and I were a Greek restaurant! I was the table, with my head as the centerpiece ...complete with lit candle! I sprayed my hair/made up my face all gray and fleck-ish to look like I was made of stone, and then had two ends of the table on either shoulder, with place settings on it. In my pockets underneath the table I had menus...and we even served the dolma and hummus and olives and baklava (oh and the ouzo!). My mate was Stavros the waiter, with a curly wig and chest hair, name tag and apron. People at parties etc would come sit at the table and he would take their order...and bring them their meal! It was awesome.

I love this idea so much!
My friend just gave me this link and I thought i'd pass it on to you.

That's already Chi! It's Bakery Chi! ^^ All you need are the Chi ears and hair "spools" (and maybe a basket of goodies) and you're all set! ^_^

So...I totally stole this idea from ReadyMade...but I went as a Freudian Slip this past Halloween.  Only one person guessed it tho...haha.  I wore a slipdress, a guy's sweater, and a name tag that said: Dr. Freud.  This is the best pic I have of the costume...sorry bout the strange pose Cheesy

my boy (as silent bob) and a close up of me, without the cape

last year
costumes were mostly thrifted, i added the details to his hat and coat, and made my pillbox hat out of a folder and covered it with fabric

new years costume party 2005.... elvis (my boy) and marilyn (me)
my mom made the elvis about 5 yrs ago for my dad and i made the marilyn the day of, out of bed sheets... not too classy. but it worked.

another of elvis

and my bestfriend, also wearing elvis, and my brother, wearing donald duck *also made by my mom* in 2004

me (1950s girl- made by me, i went with my bestfriend, as elvis, above^^^ that year) and my two friends (who showed up without costumes.... so we made it work) as a naughty teacher and Avril in 2005
