The face is a professional foam latex casting by a company called Woochie.  Out of the package, it's very soft, and looks like cookie dough.  You have to cut off the flash and excess with an exacto knife, then paint it up.  You can use greasepaint makeup, but I mixed acrylic paint with matte medium and polyurethane gloss, so that it would flex with the face and not crack. You can glue it in place with medical prosthetic adhesive, or spirit gum.  These things are awesome creepy, because they move with your face very well, so most every facial expression is visible.  I also got one of those off the rack 3-d skelebones costumes, and painted the chest piece and the bone gloves to match the color scheme I used on the face, so I had the whole skeletal thing going on.

Thanks!  I love this stuff, really have a blast doing it, so to find others who dig it too, and understand how much of a charge it is to make something cool and transform yourself, is just the best.

and, yes, he had the guts to wear this to school at the age of ten - turned out great because all of the 5th grade boys were chanting his name when he passed them in the school parade!

Hey amaryllisroze!  After I posted I saw yours and it's great too! 

I thought of the mustache but got a little vain since I was headed to an ex-boyfriend's party and decided it was a bit much (ha).  Probably was a good move because he suddenly wants to go out again - do you think I won him over with the unibrow?

I also wore a shawl with a pet monkey pinned on but - alas - no picture of that...

My original plan was to get a monkey...but then decided it was going to be too much to deal with because I was playing hostess for the evening.

here's a pic of some of the ladies this year at the party i threw at my boyfriend's.  the costume here i wanted to brag about was the marge simpson one in the pic.  i'm not the one wearing it (i'm the nurse on the left), but i'm the one who made it....
