Chest burster from Alien. The back of the jumpsuit says "Nostromo".

That's awesome!  How did you make it?

The chest burster was carved out of styrofoam and painted. Teeth were done with toothpicks, and the jaw and arms were carved separately then glued on. The whole thing was held in place by screwing it to a piece of foamcore board about 6"x6", which rested inside my shirt. Add fake blood and you're ready to go.

I had a friend (male!) dress up as Bjork with a swan dress for spirit week at my school

Ok I went to a party last night and someone dressed up like and ipod commercial, and no I did not get pics, but he had this lime green background behind him, he was totally dressedin black and even had a faceless black mask on his face so you could not see it and it ipod of course and external speakers that played music while he danced.  Oh I wish I had  a camera, but it was super cool.

my favorite costume is the one i have this year!! strawberry shortcake baby!!!!!!!!!! i fuckin adore strawberry shortcake so i just had to be her

Well, there's no other way to put it, you guys are teh awesome!  There is more talent and coolness in this one thread than many forums can come up with in a year.  Truly inspiring stuff, and no one could look through this and not get some good ideas.  Just to bring it up to date, here's my costume from this year that I just posted in another thread, The Undead King:
