I thought it might be helpful if we have a thread deicated to people showing off their favorite costumes.  It can be a nice one stop place to see other people's ideas and maybe help some of us think of some good ones for ourselves.  Sadly, my computer crashed and I don't have all my favorite pics...but here is my costume from last year.  I'm Nibbler from Futurama, and that's my boyfriend as Space Ghost.

This year I'm working on a bunch of different costumes for various parties and fairs, maybe I'll post more as the events come up.

Come on everyone, show off your hard work!

Two ways.  The black dots on the eyes are actually clear.  When that didn't work, you can actually see out of little gaps I left in teh fabric.  Only problem is that it was really hot.  Cheesy

those costumes rock!

i went as Mother from the Brak shoe last year.  it was so easy too.  a blue dress w/matching blue flats ( i painted mine to match)  a pink apron, rubber gloves, a white wig that flips out, and some face paint.  my boyfriend painted the black "mask" eyes and colored in green around my actual eyes.  then i put on some pale pink lipstick.  if i was going to a bigger party i would've painted my skin orange too, but hardly anyone knew who i was anyways.

I was leatherface last year. I made the mask out of paperbags, mod podge and a cheapo wig. It looked great! also wore dickys, a buttondown shirt with a tie and a butchers apron made out a bloodied sheet. I couldnt find a toy chainsaw, so I glued a chunk of wig hair to the busness end of a hammer and splattered it in red paint. In fact, I splattered almost everything with red paint. Unfortunatly, I dont have any pictures, but I assure you, it was adorable.

My kids and I made Lance Armstrong and a Giant Lady for last year's Halloween parade.

I posted more pictures in July when the Tour was on.
