thebeat cowboy:  Those cotumes rock!  You're in Cleveland or surrounding right?  I was supposed to go to that Halloween show, but had another one on that night.  the Boys From County Hell are amazing, and they get 1000 more points on my list for those costumes.  I'm sorry I didn't go.

yeah, it's those boys from the county hell.  their halloween shows keep getting better and better, i'm not sure what they're going to do next year.  (though if there's anywhere i can find amazing suggestions, it's from the absurdly creative folk here at craftster.)

Didja get to see the show last year?  they did the Ghostbusters, and did the Ray Parker Jr. thing too.  my contribution was slimer, on the left.

I made this costume for the Elf Fantasy Fair 2005 (fantasy festival in the Netherlands). I think it worked out pretty good and it's clear that I'm supposed to be an elf/fairy Smiley

First I had to weld a frame --> http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/4867/vleugel11da.jpg kinda looking like that Smiley
than I cut out the wings, which I drew on paper first (like 10 times).. then cut out in a fabric, stitched it on the metal frame and finished!

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3489/10000047wk.jpg there you can see the back of my wings! (but you can't see the square-part where everything's attached to, 'cause my hair falls over it...)

Hopefully I helped you, and I'm really sorry about my english Embarrassed

Your English is flawless. Don't apologise for that.
That picture of you is fabulous. So pretty and you can weld too!

I wondered if in America a lot of people celebrate halloween??
Unfortunately in the Netherlands no one does  Sad So I'm always looking for excuses to get dressed up like a fantasy figure  Grin

I would say that MANY people in America dress up and/or celebrate Halloween.  I mean, everyone I know had multiple parties to go to and there are kids everywhere begging for candy!  Smiley  Either way though, one holiday is certainly not enough!  I, like you, would love to dress up much more than that!  In fact, I do it in my house sometimes!  Smiley
