I searched and searched for a pattern for these booties. I couldn't find one, so I made it up myself. I need to make the bootie bigger, but besides that I think it came out really cute!

Take a look:

What do you think??

Here's the pattern!
Using 1 skein of worsted weight yarn in black(I used Caron Simply Soft for all 3 colors)
small amount of grey heather for skate
small amount of white (for laces)

For the bootie, with size 6 needles CO 44 st, using black yarn

Row 1: K17, P1, K8, P1, K17

Row 2: Knit across

Rows 3-22: Repeat rows 1 and 2

Row 23: Repeat row 1 again

Row 24: (Eyelet row where you will put laces) (Ki, K2Tog, YO) 3 times, K26, (YO, K2 Tog, K1) 3 times.

Row 25: K17, P1, K8, P1, K17

Row 26: Bind off 10 st, K24, Bind off remaining 10

Attach yarn for toe- K until toe measures 1 1/2" ending with right side facing. (24 stitches)

Begin shaping
Row 1: K2 tog (12 stitches)
Row 2: K
Row 3: K2 tog (6 stitches)
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail for finishing.

For the skate:
Switch to the grey color.
CO 15 stitches
K 3 rows
K 4 stitches, BO center 7 stitches, K4
K 4 rows with 4 stitches on 1 side
Bind off these 4 stitches
Attach yarn to other set of 4 stitches
K 4 rows
Bo 4 stitches.

On the toe, carefully remove stitches from needles, sew stitches closed. Sew up seam. Weave in ends. Attach skate to center of the bottom of the bootie. I sewed it using the tail left over from the BO. Using white yarn, make laces by threading it through the yarn over holes.

My husband said the skate part needs to be bigger and extend all the way to the toe. If you want to experiment with it, go for it. Wink

And yes, the photo has changed from the original post. I had to make the bootie bigger so it would fit a baby, not a barbie.

Please feel free to use this pattern, but can you PM me a photo when you are finished?? I'd LOVE to see them!

if you can't be a good example then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.

I live in Texas, so it RARELY snows here (last year it did..first time since the 1800s)...but we did get a hockey team a few years ago. I love hockey now. And now I want a baby to accessorize haha. Those are adorable!

So cute! It looks like that would also be cute as a Christmas ornament.
