Wow, in the dark it kinda looks real.    Dachsunds make me nervous.  I'm always afraid of hurting an animal that long.  O.o;  But a plush one would be impossible to hurt - he must make the perfect pet!

OMG!  You did such a nice job!!!I have to go hunt that pattern down. It looks exactly like a toy dog that I had when I was little that belonged to my mother when she was little. It was Betsy McCall's dog Brownie. It's painful that I know that, but by the time I got him his velvet fur was worn off in places and the last time I remember seeing him the poor guy was bald everywhere except the inside of his legs and his tail was hanging on by one thread and it made my mother sooooo sad.  Brownie had green felt eyes though.  I'll quit babbling now. Thank you for posting.

You could make him out of brown velvet w/ green felt eyes for your Mom's Birthday, maybe  Smiley

He's so cute!

Great job!
My toddler would love one of these, she is always asking for a dog! We just have a new baby so it's not a good time to be adding ANOTHER member to the family!
Was it easy to get a good finish? I can imagine the one that I try will be all lumpy and bumpy! Grin
You're pup has such a professional finish and looks so realistic, apart from n ot having eyes! He, he, he...

My mother had a great deal of trouble with me, but I think she enjoyed it.
