Thats a lovely bag!  I will have to try and make one for myself so thanks for the tutorial! Wink

I have made tote bags like this before, trying afew different ways, and have always been a little confused about sewing around the corner bits, when you add the two or three pieces together.  Embarrassed  Can anyone post some more detailed pics of how they do this if they want to?  Thanks if you can  Wink

GIJane, I assume it's in inches, I'm really going to have to go and find a ruler with inches so I can follow all these tutes just as they are described!  Cheesy

I made one for my sister's birthday.  It is my first bag too Smiley

I also found the corners extremely confusing and I have no idea if I did it right.  I ended up having to sew a couple again because when I trimmed the seams I cut too close and they opened up.

I got the orange lining at a thrift store and it turns out it changes colour when heat is applied- it turned hot pink when I ironed it!

I just wanted to say that I just used this pattern for a swap bag and loved it!  It was easy to follow and I love the way it went together.

Great tutorial!!!

How rad!!!  I got a sewing machine for my birthday (in October) and have a HUGE list of projects--this is prolly gonna be the 1st. (Been too busy to start anything...but summer break is right around the corner!)

p.s. your dot fabric matches a pair of my girlie boxers.  V. cute!!
