I think American McGee IS DOING a version of Oz, but from what I've read, there's no Dorothy.  The game is set before Dorothy is sent to Oz.

Ok so I had the same idea of a "gothic" dorothy.  I'm going to have a red penafore, black crenolin (really poofy(, black shirt with red rick-rack, black fishnets and these shoes http://www.goodgoth.com/ladiesheels.htm covered in red sequins, with red eyeshadow and red lipstick with black liner, and not sure about the hair yet, but I think this should turn out way awesome!

I was Dorothy this year. I had no time to finish my original costume (damn my job). My idea was to be Dorothy - attacked by flying monkeys. I wanted to have one bitting on my leg with blood it and stuff like that. I ran out of time (story of my life) so I was just plain old Dorothy. I know this is a late response. Sad
