I made a Nascar magazine purse about a month ago.  I got a few ideas from this board. Thanks!  I decided to post pictures.  It's made with heavy vinyl.

I made one, and then my sister made one.

One side is the cover of a magazine.  The other 3 sides and the bottom are all collages of pictures for different magazines.

I put the picture from each side on top of cardboard, and then between two pieces of vinyl and then sewed all the way around the edges. Then I just sewed all the edges together with a medium sized quilting needle and white quilting thread. It was really easy except for sewing the last two edges together, because it's not like you can turn the bag inside out. Cheesy

Most of the fabrics I used were remnants, so it was fairly cheap to make. I bought a huge piece of vinyl for 50 cents at Walmart that was more than enough to make my bag. Then later I bought the handle for $6 at Walmart.  I used velour for the inside.

I did it in the middle of the night, so I don't know exactly how long, but I think around 3 hours.
