Here's one of my newest creations.....what do you all think? It didn't sell at the show this past weekend but I got a bunch of nice comments on it. Also a lot of people asking if I drank all of that wine (no, did not  Wink ) It is really huge and hard to lug around. I am thinking this will sell closer to the holidays, perhaps a good gift for someone who likes wine....I will probably make more for gifts as well.

That is so beautiful! I bet it smells pretty damn good! (I love the smell of wine) What kind of wreath did you use (if you don't mind me asking)? It seems like if you were to hot glue them to a styro foam wreath, they would just fall off. (My projects with styrofoam and hot glue rarely ever work out! It is frustrating...) I have no where near that many corks or that much patience. I admire your sticktoitiveness!

Thanks! I used a straw wreath and stuck half a toothpick into the cork and then put some tacky glue on it and stuck it in. Some needed some extra tacky glue to stay put. It does smell good! I would just kind of zone out while doing the same thing over and over and all of a sudden I was like, ooo, I'm done!

That is very cool.  It would be wicked with a mirror in the middle.  Great for any kitchen!

I'd love to show you the bottle cap wreath I made but for some reason my picture isn't loading. I sell a lot of these. All you need to do is add some bells and a festive bow. It will sell.

My aunt did something like that, except less corks and more of a vine and grapes type theme. I like yours, it's more hip.

Thanks everyone! I have thought about the mirror idea... i have seen them in craft stores and i bet i could just glue it on...doesn't seem that heavy. d, I would love to see your wreath....have you gone to the help section or is it just been difficult?

Wow, sorry no one bought your wreath, I think its cool
But how did you get all those corks, was it over a long period of time ? (I'm trying to collect them for a project, maybe I should just go to a winery though)

Thanks!
I just asked family and friends and then they asked people too....somewhere along the lines I found some people who had been saving them for eons and had huge brown paper grocery bags full. I have also heard go to a bar or restaurant so that might work too. I did find some on ebay...but pretty expensive considering you could probably get them for free somewhere. Good luck!
