I love the more simple bag patterns, and this is a super-cute bag you made! I love the pink buttons on the snap closure, it's cute!

Love this bag. BUt I must ask, It might just be me being a bit stupid

but why is there a small square cut out thingin in the bottom of the bag...Is it just me that is missing someting.

a Tutorial would be great, cause then even I might understand

I *think* the square part is cut out because that's how you'll make the gusset/square corner, like you do in step 4 of the Jordy bag tutorial. I hope that's right!

I love your idea for this bag! Very cute.

 Undecided
Spent the entire morning searching for a pattern for a hobo bag! Guess where I finally ended up?? What a great site this is, and I get the definite drift that you are all mostly young'uns...that's great! I am an old'un but still learning.

I will make the hobo bag for my sister to take to Europe when she goes with my father to visit his WWII haunts. Will make the bag larger, use a natural-based type of felting for a lining, it's heavier and really helps things to hold their shape, and may find some way to change the closure...it will have a zippered pocket on one side and another without a zipper on the opposite side...inside, of course! It MAY have a cellphone pocket on the outside with a velcro closure? Ah...who knows! I enjoy playing with patterns and making it my own project...this is an outstanding bag, the Hobo-jordy bag...and a wonderful site to have 'happened upon...' MY good fortune.
