The roses are from here: Brenda, the Loom Lady's site:

http://loomlady.blogspot.com/

(she has a ton of way cool original patterns)

The new Loom Knitter's Circle is:

http://www.loomknitterscircle.com/

And the ballet slippers were taught in the LoomClass Yahoo Group :

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LoomClass/

They have a stitch sampler class coming up that's perfect for new people, so you might want to think about taking it!

Hey you guys -

I was just thinking, every time a new magknits/knitty comes out, a bunch of new KALs start. Why don't we start an LAL?

Maybe a pattern from Loom Knitters Circle?

I'm thinking Carrie Putzier's Inside out Cable Hat? (http://www.loomknitterscircle.com/IssueSummer07/patterns/InsideOutCables.html)

<my backlog groans, but it'd be so cool to have a loom a long to go with all the knit a longs!>

I like the idea!  I have to check out the hat first though to see if it's something I can use or wear etc. Smiley

I posted some more of my projects here. One of them is the snow crab.

Ahh! I love the penguin and the crab. So cute! And the brain slug is just hysterical. That'd make a great Halloween costume add!  Grin

the crab rocks. Now I want to make a lobster. I think that it would be a good first project. I just need to print out some instructions on the different wraps of the pegs. The ones that came with my KK knock off are horrid. No pictures! Being dyslexic I HAVE to have pictures to understand these things.

Heck I think the pictures are horrendous and I don't have dyslexia! I can't imagine trying to figure out what they mean.

Have you checked out the Knitting Board? For board stitches they have some nice pics and instructions.

I think the rest of the nice pics for the rounds are all at Isela's site, Rebecca's new site, and a few others.

Will this help?
(I am a visual learner. Same problem as you but for a different reason. I took these pictures when I first started to make sure I was wrapping the pegs right since I craft sporadically and forget stuff a lot...getting old is sure fun! LOL)

This is just the basic stitch. I haven't done anything fancier yet.
