I decided over the summer that I needed something bigger than a purse, but smaller than a backpack.  I settled on a cheap (clearly) Dollar Store messanger bag.  But it was missing something....

Enter, the Teen Girl Squad and a Sharpie!

I was inspired by this shirt: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=23403.0

But being without the money for iron on transfer paper, and learning somewhere on here that Sharpie and crayon can be set with an iron, I took my mom's light box and a print out of the pic and went to work tracing!

Haha, #4 is my fave.

BTW, can you link me the thread about being able to transfer with crayon and permanent marker?

Actually, I didn't really transfer with the Sharpie and crayon.  I just traced the picture onto the bag with a Sharpie and some crayons, and then ironed the whole thing to sort of seal it.  I don't remember where I saw the thing about drawing on fabric with crayons and then ironing it.  Somewhere around here.   Cheesy

So it goes,
lightbox on the bottom
then the picture on top of that
then the flap of the bag
then I traced the picture on to the flap with a Sharpie and crayons.

In preschool I used to make stuff like this. Totally not as cool, but similar. I'd take a piece of sandpaper, draw what I wanted on my shirt or paper or whatever backwards and then turn it over onto the shirt or thingie and iron the back of the sandpaper. I may have to try that again. I wonder if it would work with pastels, I dona't have crayons at the moment.
