I just finished four showgirl costumes for a Vegas show and have a ton of extra feathers.  My cats' favorite toy is a cat dancer that has a feather tease - they destroy them on a regular basis.  I have to think it's pretty easy to construct, but I'm worried about making anything that they'd chew on in case the materials aren't so safe for kitties.

Has anyone made one of these before?

I have one of those modular cat fishing pole things where you can switch out the lures - it has a ball chain attachment thing.   Anyway, my cats destroyed one of their favorite ones, so I took it apart.  It looked like it was basically held together with hot glue, which I guess is probably pretty nontoxic.
