I need help on finding some Little House on The Prairie type costume pictures because on Halloween I will dress up like LAura Ingalls Wilder. Huh Huh Huh

I went as her one year.  I forgot the pattern I found, but my mom made the dress.  It was very simple, with a gathered scoop neckline, big sleeves gatherd at the wrist, and the whole dress was straight (it did not have a waist).  She also made a petticoat out of the same dress pattern (just cut off the top of the dress and used an elastic band).  Then I had an apron, again using the skirt of the dress as a base pattern.  The bonnet was harder, but I braided brown yarn into braids and sewed them on.  If I can find a photo of myself in the costume, I will post it.

Really just stick to simple dress pattern in some sort of calico print.  That'd work unless you're going for the dresses Laura wore as she got older.  Those are more specific and described in the books.
