may I ask how you made the hat rounder? did you stubbify the pentagons the pattern calls for? your hats are so awesome (I like the buttons!)

They didn't agree on much. In fact they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time and they challenged each other everyday. But in spite of their differences they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.

so oi drew the pattern that the link is for then i just rounded off the corner.

so i lowered the top point by 1.5cm and then lowered the other point by 4cm.(these are according to the size of my head) then drew a smooth curve between the two points. folded over the pattern and cut the other side the same. then just follow the regular assembly instructions just dont add the peak. hope this makes sense. glad you like it.

Those are way cute! I can never find a hat that I like or looks good on me, but maybe I should try these. I really like them!
What kind of fabric did you use?

well the green and yellow fabric is actually apholstry (sp?) fabric that was 1 a metre and its quite stiff. but the other is just some twill weave wool i have and its really soft so it drapes really well. i have some thick wool that im going to try it in next so ill post when im done.
thanks for the comments. Grin
