Is anyone else interested?  Grin You know you wanna

YES!! I am in! I will have to think a little, but I am pretty sure I know what I will make
I have never done a craft along before. are there rules?

No real rules come to mind. except try to be even more creative with it than the book (so hard, I know, Lewis Caroll rules all!) but otherwise nothing else.

That sounds like a killer idea. An apron would be neat also. I was thinking of a teapot , but there seems to be an extreme lackage of cutomizable tea pots in my house!

I love the idea, but I'm not too sure what to make.. hmm.. maybe something with cards? Like the guards in the movie/book.. Or an alice themed clock or make a painting of a tea party ermm.. sorry that im rambeling, just brainstorming  Grin.

So many ideas  Shocked. I love the bracelet idea though, but I'm a sucker with jumprings and esp. when I need to bend them etc lol. Maybe I just go to my local craft shop and ask them how I should do that all  Undecided. And try to find mini cards hehe. We could also make a necklace out of it, but maybe that would be a little too much.

And I still have an plain white musqito-net, so if I punch holes in cards and hang em in there, that might look neat  Grin. No more ideas for now, aargh im hearing my exam marks today so im kinda nervous lol.

This is probably not what you are talking about - but I got some copyright-free illiustrations from Clipart.com and made a duct tape purse from Alice in Wonderland - I have always been a big fan of the Cheshire cat!!!

Nice stencils!

I stenciled Alice in Wonderland characters onto some records and put them up on my wall.

The close-ups came out a little blurry, but I assure you, they are very clean lines in real life. I used to stencil so much....I should get back to that.

I craft when I should be sleeping, is that the same as I sleep when I should be crafting?  Tongue

OK, I got all the stuff together, I am going to really get started soon! I did a little bit today, and I have a few sketches to work out still to figure out what I am going to do exactly, but I think I am going to be able to use an idea I have had for years just waiting for the perfect project! Hooray!

Here is my before picture:

I can't wait til I can post the after picture!!!!!! WOOHOO! I am going all out on this one! Smiley

Just wondering how everyones projects are coming along. I have had a really hard week with my kids, and so have only managed about 20 minutes of work a day. It is slowly coming together though! I am having a hard time staying patient, because I like to just sit and work til the project is done, but this is a big one, and I want it to be good! My sewing machine has been very disagreeable through all of this, so that just adds to the tediousness. I am so excited to show it off though!! I am guessing 5 more days. Thats what I thought 5 days ago though. ARGH

Honestly, I am with you too. Maybe I get an hour in a day, but none the rest of the week., School is slowly taking over. I've gotten to the gloss finish (haha a gloss finish on my first step!) on the box and have begun to decontstruct it (an odd series of events but you will see in time Wink) I'm using a book about collaging my mom bought for her art class for most of my tecqniques. I hope it looks nearly as good as I am envisioning it! But now I'm taking drivers ed 3x a week (2 1/2 hour classes each day I take it!!) so I dont know what time will be left for it.
Hope everyone else is having better time managing skills than me, as well as better succes and I seriously hope that you all are ENJOYING it on the way! Can't forget about that Grin

So I have a couple ideas...

I have been working with paper mache lately...i am not sure why...but i really like it...
So I was thinking about making some kind of paper mache character, i am not sure what i am going to make yet, but does that sound like something you would be interested in?  I am going to attempt it, but i will let you know how it is going if its working out well enough for me to show anyone!  we will just have to see how it turns out!!!

Let me know what you think!!!!

Well, I am probably not going to finish this until after the holidays. I started feeling like I had to hurry up so that I could get to work on present making, and that caused me to start screwing up every time I touched my project. I promise I will post pictures when it is complete. Hopefully I can post pictures of me wearing them, I have just joined the "Lose weight along" thread, and I was originally making these too small for me so I could sell them. I have quit my sewing job now though, so I want to make them for me!!! Smiley Anyway, just wanted to let you all know what was happening. What happened to everyone else?

I was thinking of something like that too, only white with black & red lace at the bottom or something with card suits around it and the character silhouettes inside or maybe some little phrases. I see I'm not the only one who was thinking lolita lol. ^^ Either that or crafty/utility apron. (although I would get prety mad if anything messy got on it lol)

Woo, first post!
Anyway my idea is to get an oval mirror, and make a cabinet behind it
Around the mirror to put a forest and flowers and make half of alice (her bottom half, waist bending over)
Then inside the cabinet to put her top half and decorate the inside of the cabinet like wonderland, maybe store surreal things inside?

I love everyones stuff and (it is very unlikely that I will but..) I want to make a white apron with lace on the edges with a little drawing of the chescheir cat on it. Another idea is to use shrinky dinks for the little card bracelets somebody suggested on the first page.

I've got something for you, too Smiley I made a drink-me-bottle with polymer clay. The slogan on the bottle says "Trink mich" = German for "Drink me".

I posted this in another thread, pat of a series of covere/decorated composition books I made this summer.  The book is covered with brushed stainless steel look paper, and cutout copies of some of my favorite illustrations, back and front.  (I'm in the process of making a few more Alice-related gifts for Christmas; my name is Alison, so you know I have a lot of material to choose from!)
