This bag was (mostly) inspired by those super-cute Marc by Marc Jacobs bags that everyone relates to Mary Kate and Ashley lately, but I love they way they're enourmous and crazy-printed! I kind of made it up as I went, and it didn't end up exactly how I'd like it to, so I'm definetely going to do another one sometime soon with fabric similar to the real Marc bags, rather than boucle like this one. But I thought I'd show it for fun!

The "real" Marc bag:

Pocket Detail: It was near -impossible- to get a good shot of these ties...They tie shut, but the picture just looks weird...Sorry!

Modeling: Like the flaming purple pants? Hehe, made those too.

I've had these fabrics forever, and used the liner fabric to line another bag a while back. I love it cos it's so silky and smooth and bright colours. And yes, it's -very- floppy, which is what makes me superbly happy!  Grin Plus, $5 for materials is a lot better than $148 for the real thing! What do you all think?

I like it! I just wish I could see the pocket ties better. Great purse!

Eek yes I tried again and again to get a better picture of the pocket ties, sorry!  Undecided  But there is a long rectangular piece that is stitched coming from the middle of the pocket itself, and another stitched to the bag behind it, and they tie once. I made a mistake with the fabric, because it was too thick to make a good tie. I'll be sure to post again when I make another with different textiles.

Wow! Thanks everyone! I used the bag today out and about, and it's great. The slouchy-ness is perfect, cos I hate those stiff bags that dig into your shoulders... But thanks again! I'm currently on the prowl for some Marc-like fabric, so once I get a hold of some I'll post another creation, hopefully better than this one!
