We don't have altoid tins here in Oz. What size are they?

Are you still looking for ideas, or have you already decided to do altoid tins?

Miscellaneous ideas could include recycling, woodcrafting, gourd art, leatherwork, or anything else that doesn't have its own board.

I like the idea of a "buy nothing" challenge where you have to use what you already have. This encompasses both recycling and stash busting.

Stash busting would be a fun challenge.

i like shrines! we could do a "tin shrine" rather than an altoid tin, and that would let people who don't have altoids participate! and maybe i'll finally get motivated to make those cat food tin shrines i've been planning!  Grin

I think a shrine challenge would be fun! I really admire the ones I have seen on here, and a challenge would be just the push I need to do one. Even though the chance of it sucking is pretty high!!!
I don't think I'd want to do a tin one, but will keep my eye on this thread to see what you decide what to do!

The shrine would be an awesome idea.  If you set it up so that the entries could be made out of whatever a person decided to use, instead of a tin.  I saw some great shrines in the paper challenge where they used an oatmeal box and a phone book.

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun!!! Smiley Smiley Shrines are cool if any medium was allowed, but masks would be great! Either way we'd probably be up for the challenge!

Ok, so how about we do a "Shrine" challenge, and then people can make whatever sort of shrine they want...and people who love to alter tins can make a shrine from a tin...and everyone else could do something else?  Does that sound like a winner?

I'll start getting the challenge set up!  Thanks for the great input guys!

(And I'll be putting the "buy nothing" idea on the list for the next challenge...although, you could probably stashbust for the shrine challenge too!)
