my super secret weapon against boredom at work?
i grab some sharpies out of the supply closet and create amazing designs on my fingernails.
seriously
try drawing a skull on your nail. or lightning bolts..butterflies if that floats your boat.
then coat it with a clear top coat.
tada!
instant radness.
thats right...radness.
crappy part? people grab my hands to see  what is on my nails. they're THAT cool.
haha

What does everyone think of the Sharpie highlighters? My opinion is taht theyre far superior than most highlighters...but not half as fun as the permanent markers.

Chrissy I was JUSt about to post asking about nails. I draw on mine with coloured permanent markers of the non-sharpie variety, and people are allllways grabbing me hands to see what I've drawn. Usually they're dots and whatnot. I love doing them in black too, because when it comes off it become colours... blue then purple then pink then yellow then clear. The very best part is that is washes off in a day or so, so I can redo them as I please.

i have this annoying habit of letting my nail designs wear away.  the black sharpies get this purply thing going.  so i know exactly what you mean!  im constantly washing my hands...i think a non-permanent marker would last maybe an hour tops with me. im glad im not the only nail doodler here!

But when you write with your Sharpie mini, do you leave the cap pinned to your pants?  If so, do you have tiny hands?  When I hold the mini sans cap and don't park the cap on the other end, it barely touches the web of my hand.  If I do park the cap on the other end, the dang thing slips right off.   Angry  They're cute as the Dickens, but they are about useless for writing -- unless you have tiny hands.

I don't have tiny hands, but I hold my pens really weird.  I always write with my fingers super close to the end...I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

I've never had any luck with doing my nails in sharpie.  It always starts coming off in less than an hour for me.

I also use sharpies for coloring on duct tape.  If you cover it with packaging tape it won't come off.

Ah, yes! Packing tape: a great alternative for lamination.  Grin
