Hi all I thought I would post one of my favorite vintage craft books, making clothes from towels...I make the toddler bathrobes as gifts and they are always well recieved, esp. here in hot as hell Las Vegas. Great for covering that delicate skin when out of the pool.

the shampoo cape just kills me, I mean how gross is it to wash your hair but not your body lol...or to wash your body and not your hair...my granny gets her hair done (can we say helmet hair
) and only washes it like once a week, the very idea makes my head itch..but then I'm just a tree lovin hippy with to long hair ( wonders how a woman can have hair to long though).

as far as thread goes, I would think a cotton covered polyester should work fine, but I always zigagged the seams to cut down on the raveling of the terry cloth...now I have a serger and just use that...I love my serger, 10 yrs now and it still seams like a honeymoon...

Hard to avoid being knocked over by exhuberant Akitas, my big oaf hopped on my toe once by accident and broke it, good thing he wasnt a parrot because he woulda learned some new words lol. But hes big and loveable and he scares away the magazine salesman, what more can ya want in a man.

I am in love with the idea of matching bra & stole made from towel.
If I promise to donate, could I maybe get a scan?

I am totally making that apron.  It's gay as a carnival!  I shall wear it when serving snacks!  Thanks SO much for posting this :)  What fun!
