Ok, I just need to share my panta love story.

I am totally in love with this boy.  Ok, not totally in love, but in the part where I think I like him and I think he likes me, but we haven't started hanging out yet, just beginning to talk, that part, and my stomach's all in knots and I can't eat because I think he might really really be a nice guy but I won't be able to tell until we hang out more so part of me wants it to be true and part wants me to slow down and have patience but I don't want to because I want to be in love RIGHT NOW.

So emotionally that's where I am and I can barely think I'm so jazzed up by the whole situation, so I've been knitting to calm myself.

Here's the problem:  I'm knitting the panta and the whole time I'm knitting I'm thinking about this guy and now the panta is going to remind me of him every time I wear it, and I really like this panta but if it ends up he's not who I think he is, I'm going to hate this panta.  Which is too bad because it originally started out as the panta I'm going to love because of the yarn and the color.

 Angry

I hate liking someone.

And I love it.   Grin

God I can barely function.  I shouldn't be let out of the house.

if it turns out bad (the boy not the panta, thats near impossible...) then just give the panta to a friend/family member, or donate it... simple solution..

then make a new one. the pantas are all so beutiful they shouldnt all reind you of him...

but hopefully everything goes well... good luck.. and MELLOW OUT! hahaha

Baast,
Thanks!  I used size 5 knitting needles and bulky yarn (its a really old, discontinued yarn I had found, but any regular bulky yarn ought to work just as well)  I really liked using the mini cable stitch.  You just knit 2 tog and leave on the needle; then stick your needle between the 2 stitches, and knit the first stitch, then slip both off the needle.

The garnstudios/drops design pattern that started this all has now been translated and is up on their website

although I don't think anyone need this to make one anymore, craftsters have started a new must have fashion trend  Wink

anyway, MY GRANDMA made herself a panta. that is not normal. she is 74, and she wears shawl on her head until she is 14, and now she wears panta! my family has gone mad.

I think that's great. I'm all for older people being funky and young at heart.
