So what's the general consensus as to the best increase to use?  Huh

Everyone's pantas look gorgeous!  Shocked

I only increased twice, and I think it's too thin.  Also, I thought I'd knit small and let it stretch out, but I think the panta needs to be big enough to rest on my head, not be held there by the force of stretching (does that make sense?) So technically I'm done my increases and decreases, but I'm still knitting to make it big enough for my melon head.

I made my panta from yellow ohh what's it called cotton yarn you get from Michael's or JoAnns -- ice cream? candy?  some food name.  It's yellow cotton, anyhow Sugar and Cream yarn.

I will post a pic tonight.

Those look neat, I wouldn't pay that much for one even if I couldn't knit.  It's different from the panta, but I think I like the panta better too.

I finished my second panta a few days ago (made for a friend, matching scarf too!) made from Moda Dea Cache yarn (I forget what color off hand here).. and I'm going to post some photos tonight. Definitely not as nice as my first, because the moda dea doesn't show stitch definition very well, but it's still cute and I think my friend will love it (it's pink/purple/sparkly).

Here's mine!  I used Caron Simply Soft...wool makes me too itchy when I wear it on my head!  I must say that I love this thread--what a fun, functional, easy-to-knit idea!  I wear mine all the time with my tweedy brown coat--I've had so many compliments and I've already made one as a gift and I'm working on another one (in pink) for myself!

That panta looks great, kdigggs!

I've just started learning to knit, so maybe I'll attempt a panta soon. If I go to college in Vermont, I'd need more than one. I wear the panta TheDishclothQueen made for me all the time! I've gotten tons of compliments and questions about where I bought it. Cheesy Feel the panta love!

Love it!

And yes, that IS a band of brown hair dye across my forehead. Very nice.  My hairdresser thinks I'm a blank canvas.
