panta! (from a finnish pattern).

all so cute! i just started making a panta yesterday but it's for a friend. =p  then i must make myself one. i have the perfect yarn for it ^.^

PurpleHeather: No I live in Hungary. Here you can by different brands (at least four) in every store that sells food. I bought mine in Tesco if it helps. But I guess you can substitute it if you use food coloring or flavoring. Just add some citric acid or vinegar.

Hi Viri - thanks for that - I'll look in the Tesco next time I'm in, and I'd never thought of using food colouring.  Thanks for the tip about the vinegar!

My panta is about the same color as yours Night_owl except not tweedy like. 

What yarn did you use??  I used some left over lion brands wool-ease (it became left over from knitty's cleaves.  If you want, you can see it here).

I used Mission Falls 1824 in Thyme I think it was an extra ball that I ordered for a scarf and I ended up ordering the wrong color.  Is cleaves comfortable?

I finally finished my panta!

US5s, Debbie Bliss alpaca silk yarn. I cut out the middle section (the largest sectionx2). This was my first time increasing, decreasing, and working with ribbing! I'm very happy with it.

I believe it has, but the KEY part of the thread where someone talks about their troll is that it is a FREE pattern from Garn, so panta on people, panta on!
