Did anyone notice that the edges on theirs curled?
I'm not using anything fancy, just some acrylic I had in the stash. I'm not really a headband person, but this one intrigued me enough to try it out before investing in something yummy that I'll hate on my head.

But my long side ends roll pretty bad.
?? Any ideas

I did notice some curling, but since I made it a little snugger (I subtracted a good two inches from the circumference), it wasn't such an issue.  I did think that on my next one I would always knit the first and last stitch on both sides (garter stitch) to see if that made the edge a little nicer.

thanks!  a friend of mine saw the panta when I was working on it and suggested the brim as an alteration.  I wore it out today and received many compliments.  I was at the mall, and when some kid in Hot Topic scoffed at the knitting book in my hands by saying that his grandmother knits, I pointed to my panta and said, "well, I knit this!"  he was impressed.  he should respect his grandmother for being creative.  anyway.  I'm rambly.

this is a perfect gift item.  so easy and fast.

This looks like a great, quick Christmas gift!

After utilizing Spelling Tuesday's great Norwegian glossery and my German, I translated the original Norwegian pattern from Garnstudio's website. I need to go over it a few times but I'll post tomorrow.

frefre, your brim is fabulous!

On a side note, I just started working on my second Headline News hat last night. When I was knitting the first one, I found the brim surprisingly easy to complete ... I was worried it'd be all hard or something.

But really, great job. I may have to give it a try if I ever get around to making another Panta. (And yes, mine was a bit loose, too. I'll have to take off an inch or two.)

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

frefre -- the added brim on your panta is so creative. I've added this panta pattern to my very long list of projects to do.

I hate my square head! the Panta looks ridiculous on me but sooo cute on my daughter's nicely rounded head.
