i want some nice cotton t-shirts to stencil on, shirts that aren't baggy or too expensive. where do you buy your simple tees?

p.s. i'm in canada but suggestions from all over are welcome, even what kind of store to look at.

Grrr, the answer, I think, is no!!! Which sucks! Big Time! It took me forever to find just a tee shirt that fit well PERIOD, then they cost me $20 each!  Angry
However, ashleymargaret is right-on... when I was like 17 I wore little boys' t's from Target. They are super cheap so if you spill nachos on them or something, they are almost disposable (I am always spilling food on white t-shirts).

American Apparel T's are fairly inexpensive. If you have (or know someone who does) a tax ID or are willing to give your SSN, you can order them wholesale if you buy a few at a time. That is where I get mine.

i tried wal-mart and they had plain tee's in lots of colours but they were in the little boys department and a little too teeny for me. the size 16 boys tee's were UGLY and not at all what i wanted.

biafrabitches...i live on the durham region side of toronto and am bad with directions so i'm not entirely sure where richmond hill is. but if you know somewhere around downtown toronto or my way, that'd be awesome.

on yonge and steeles, right at the border of toronto and thornhill (I believe), there's a mall called centerpoint. if you go in the Bay entrance, somewhere near the ardene's, there are 2 stores right across from one another. one is called cotton collectibles and it f'n rocks! they have ringer tees, plain tees, and cool tank tops for [get this] 3 for $10 or $5 each. and they look really good. and across from that one there's an old lady-ish store but for some reason they have girl sized tees too, and they all cost $4 and $5 each.
hope that helped Smiley

Not sure if this is in your neighbourhood, but I live near Bloor St W and Runnymede, and there is a place called Cut-Rate Clothing (on Bloor, west of Runnymede).  It has all sorts of cotton goods for cheap including t-shirts.  It's been awhile since I have been in there, but it seemed decent.
American Apparel is a p'rolly a better choice thou, for their choice of styles and colours, as well as their policies (sweatshop free, etc).
Hope this helps.
