Wow, that's cool.  Brown must have liked your scarf!  That would be awesome if he wore it around and there was a snapshot of him just so you could tell people "That's my scarf!  I made that!"  Then they'd all be like,  "Ooooh... Ahhhhh"
Sweet.

My dad likes telling ppl that his daughter made his scarf.  He's extra proud when they tell him how awesome it is.

I made one of these a while ago, in light blue, for my Dad. Forgetting how very long a scarf can take -- although this one is at least interesting -- I did another, in pink, for a friend.

Size 8s, pink (lotus pink?) Lamb's Pride Worsted. Squooshy and wonderful.

I made this as a Christmas gift for my sister and just got around to posting pictures because I've been so busy! I was a bit anxious about giving her an homemade gift but she loves it and wears it all the time now. The pattern was a great introduction to cables and so easy that I could knit it all while watching TV. I used Georga 100% wool and US size 8.

I'm so glad there's a KAL for this, I was going to start one myself. One of my new year's knitting resolutions is to learn how to knit cables. Since crocheting my dad a hat did not turn out right, he decided he wanted a scarf instead and I thought this was a "manly" enough pattern. Plus, I detest doing rows and rows of garter stitch. Here's mine so far, I'm using RHSS in Aran Fleck. It's a pretty nice colorway. Depending on how the entire project goes, I think I'd be willing to whip up a few more. Granted, school is vampireing all my crafty time away. Onto pictures:

I just finished this scarf this past weekend.  It was a gift for my aunt.  First attempt at cables.  It was so easy!  I love this scarf.

I just decided to do this, I have some yarn in my stash that needed some lovin' and I've been wanting to try cables for the longest time.  My boyfriend loves cables so he'll be thrilled that I'm learning to do them (and he'll probably try to steal the finished scarf).
