I finished my patchwork purse a few days ago and I LOVE IT!!!! It is the project I am most proud of to date. The tutorial was amazing - so clear and easy to follow for a newbie sewer! I just had trouble attaching the loop and the strap - a lot of layers of fabric for my poor machine to deal with. My first lined bag - it looks so professional! (except for my slightly skewed patchworking in some parts)

Thank you so very much!

I've used this tutorial several times now. Here are just some of the bags I've made using this technique, with just minor tweeks for different styles.

This was for my sister's birthday.

This was for Dragonflower in round 2 of the Ancient Cultures Swap.

And this one was for krizzle in the Inglorious Grindhouse: Quentin Tarantino/Robert Rodriguez Swap
