Yeah the cardi is nice and I also like the scarf Crime of Fashion (where are the charts?) and Picovoli. The others may need to grow on me.

That cardi is super nice...but what's with the sizing? Mags is usually pretty good at offering larger sizes.

I love Picovoli, especially because there is no finishing. That's my kind of top. And I really like the idea of Crimes of Fashion, although I would never wear it, since I'm not really a scarf person.

Another shout out for the cardigan. I'm not quite sure what it is that appeals to me so much - the ribbing? the collar? the ginormous buttons? - but I'm loving it.

I also quite like "Alice" (the fair isle sweater). I've been itching to do some fair isle lately, and I always need more nice sweaters for work... and it's purty Smiley

I'm dying to knit the "Picovoli" top with some organic cotton yarn I have around.

This is a great issue! I love the cardigan and Picovoli and Alice (the fair isle sweater). The scarf is a great idea, but just not for me:)

A note about the Sesame cardigan for anyone making it using the recommended yarn: I'm pretty certain you would need to hold two strands together, as Rowan Wool Cotton is pretty tiny (I just used it for a Knitty pattern). This pattern doesn't SAY to use two strands, but I think you would need to in order to get the gauge.

Normally, ( to me) Magknits patterns are hit-or- miss.  I really like the scarf and the cardigan. My mom likes the wrap/shawl and the Alice sweater.

About the cardigan, at http://www.theknittinggarden.com/ro-woolcotton.htm they say that the gauge for Wool Cotton is 5.5 - 6 stitches per inch( 22 - 24 stitches for 4 inches) and magnkits says 21 stitches. I don't think ou would have to double it.

ysolda, what gauge are you getting?

Actually I just checked knitty and the gauge on Spring Fling is 24 sts/4in. I was thinking it was closer to 28 sts. Still seems like 21sts/4in would be kinda....holey. Maybe not.

I don't see the new patterns, just the old ones  Cry

Would someone please post a link to the patterns themselves? When I click on the "Knit Us" I just get what's been there this whole time.

Oh, I wish someone was doing a KAL for the Picovoli.  I have too many WIPs right now...but I would love to knit this vicariously through some other craftsters.

I do believe there will be a KAL.  The gals here thought of hosting one:  http://caitlynknits.blogspot.com/ & http://agatheringofwool.blogspot.com/.  Also, on the knitty board:  http://knittyboard.com/viewtopic.php?t=11664.  Those are the ones I know of, although I don't know for sure if they'll be happening Smiley.  In any case, happy knitting!  Kathy
