Well hellu. I made these in the summer holidays and just recently managed to format my crappy little camera. So I took lots of photos!
Ignore the silly poses, I never know quite what to do with my hands
I was at the market one day and I saw this wonderful fabric and without thinking I bought two or three metres of it (probably more actually, as it doesn't seem to ever run out
). I then got home and wondered what the hell I was going to do with that much pink with gigantic orange polkadots fabric. Then I realised oh well, it was only a euro a metre.
So I made a skirt! It was my first time pleating, so it isn't excellent. I have no idea if I'll ever wear it. It seems a bit too garish even for me
(haha, editing to point out I just noticed the little killer whale in the corner
)
It used to be just green fabric, I added the pinstripes
by hand. I obviously don't know what to do with my time, it seems.
Took me about a day to add the pinstripes, and a day to put it all together. I couldn't figure out how to pleat it, and the fabric wasn't the pleat-y type. Should have figured that out before I started

Edit: I wore the pink one yesterday to see Mindless Self Indulgence, and when the band started signing stuff, I couldn't find my ticket for them to sign, so I took off my skirt (but don't worry, I had trousers underneath
)
