I picked up a lonely orphaned ball of yarn today that I think would make an adorable little felted bag. Of course it's half (exactly) the amount I need for Sophie. I'm wondering if I could do a half-size one (for my niece). Has anyone tried to make this smaller?

You could definitely do this without any problem. I make little ones for my nieces. Smiley

Yeah! This wool (Paintbox) cried out to be made into a Sophie, but they only had 1 skein. And it was on clearance (otherwise I couldn't have afforded it!). One more thing on my to-do list.

Thanks!!

Oh, Yarnia! The mini Sophie is adorable and perfect. I'll post pics once I get them uploaded. Thanks for your encouragement.

Glad it turned out well. Smiley I just finished one for Christmas. I have about 10 to make, and this was my third, so I am setting a good pace for myself. lol
