very inspiring- sometimes i just can't pass up the fabric on ties and they just stayed draped over my dresser mirror- tie skirts really aren't my deal but these are really cute! thanks for the instructions!

Those are awesome! I'd make one but it would take me forever and look really messy as I cannot hand sew very well

Wonderful!  I will have to try this project for sure.  I made some felt flower pins a couple of weeks ago:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=12305.0

I love your idea a lot too!

swak,
Amy

I love it!  I think they could be unisex, like boutonierres, if you ever found to of the same tie.

I love the sweater you pinned it to as well.  So cute!

they look really cute... it seems the running stich makes it gather up quite nicely. just a question: where exactly do you do the running stitch? In the picture it seems like you are doing it right along the bottom edge of the tie, but would it be possible to stitch it on the surface of the tie as well? (providing i stitched fairly close to the edge).
thank you, and great tute... very clear.

I just wanted to thank you, Hilatron, for a great tutorial, and share my tribute to its glory.
Here it is, isn't it pretty?
