   It's funny how things can be so obvious when you finally hear it.  hehe

My big fear is doing a really big, detailed piece. So I'm doing one!

It's not that big, really, but I've only done outlining projects, and this one will be all filled in and such like.

I transfered it last night, and I'm going to get a larger hoop tonight and then... Stiching it all in!
Eeeeee! I'm scared to make the next step!

are you me? i started this "thread" (hahaha excuse my lame pun) over 2 monthes ago and i havent even transfered my very basic piece. i'm going to go do that now...

I'm working on mine off and on.  It's hard to do something you don't like to do    hehe, but I'm forcing myself to finish it.  Maybe I'll even get it done by Halloween.......... ..sure.

I've been in a crafty-traffic jam the past few days though.  So many projects going at once, and none really getting anywhere.  And now I want to start a new one.  lol.  I don't know what's wrong with me.   I've also been reading two new books about other parts of my life, that's slowed me down a little.   

I guess I can make myself work on it at least 30 minutes a day.  Usually once I get started I'll keep going, but I'll at least have that much.

Finally finished.  I put this down for about a month, picked it back up and finished it in about a day.   I'm a little burnt out on Halloween so I'm giving myself until next year to finish the towel.  Plus I don't know how to sew yet, and I need some orange, purple rickrack to put along the edge.  I might add a couple other Halloween things too. 

They WON'T be in satin stitch though.  I was afraid of satin stitch. Now I hate it.  Practice didn't help, and this was a lot of practice. It's just annoying, bulky and it looks messy.  Oh well. At least the hard part is finished!

Chelsea-that looks great! the embroidery doesn't look like satin stitch, it looks like velvet!

aw, thanks    It does kinda look like velvet in the picture...  None of the pictures came out very clear and detailed - which is GOOD...lol.

Chelsea, it looks fantastic!  I am gonna jump into this stitchalong, I have a project that I've been turning around in my head for a while -- a really detailed koi fish -- it's bigger and more detailed than anything I've ever done before, AND I'm gonna use ORANGE which I've never used before!  thanks a lot for starting this thread, it's inspired me to get started on this project!!!

I think I'm jumping on this a bit late, but if I'm welcome to join in, I'd love to...I've got the whole project in mind.

I'm scared to do massive fills and circles. And small detail.

Hopefully this experiment will turn out good enough to give to my dad as a gift. We'll see....

I just bought doodle stitching, sublime stitching and my supplies... I'm entirely new and scared, but it all looks so fun!

so I guess for me, my fear is starting. ack!
